What is IFA Lose Mazindol 2mg?

IFA Lose Mazindol 2mg is indicated for the treatment of exogenous obesity in the short term (from 6 to 8 weeks), in adults and in children older than 12 years, as a co-adjuvant of a hypocaloric diet.

IFA Lose Mazindol 2mg stimulates the central nervous system (nerves and brain), which increases your heart rate and blood pressure and decreases your appetite.

Dosage IFA Lose Mazindol

The administration is oral. The dosage depends on the concentration of the tablet used, but in general terms it is suggested not to exceed 2 mg per day while obtaining the desired therapeutic effect. For example, in the first week a 1 mg tablet is suggested after breakfast, after the first week one tablet after breakfast and another after the meal. The dose should be adjusted according to the response of each patient to a maximum of three tablets of 1 mg / day, one after each meal. A maximum treatment period of between three and six months is recommended, depending on the medical criteria based on the results obtained and the absence of side effects.

Side effects IFA Lose Mazindol 2mg

If you experience any of the following serious side effects, stop taking Ifa Lose and seek emergency medical attention:

•an allergic reaction (difficulty breathing; closing of your throat; swelling of your lips, tongue, or face; or hives);

•an irregular heartbeat or very high blood pressure (severe headache, blurred vision); or

•hallucinations, abnormal behavior, or confusion.

Other, less serious side effects may be more likely to occur. Continue to take Ifa Lose and talk to your doctor if you experience

•restlessness or tremor,

•nervousness or anxiety,

•headache or dizziness,

•insomnia,

•dry mouth or an unpleasant taste in your mouth,

•diarrhea or constipation, or

•impotence or changes in your sex drive.

IFA Lose Mazindol 2mg is habit forming. You can become physically and psychologically dependent on this medication, and withdrawal effects may occur if you stop taking it suddenly after several weeks of continuous use. Side effects other than those listed here may also occur.

Interactions

You cannot take IFA Lose Mazindol 2mg if you have taken a monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) such as isocarboxazid (Marplan), tranylcypromine (Parnate), or phenelzine (Nardil) in the last 14 days.
Changes in insulin and other diabetes drug therapies may be necessary during treatment with mazindol.

Mazindol may reduce the effects of guanethidine (Ismelin). This could lead to an increase in blood pressure.
